MEC style question

Hi,

I’m using the MEC extension that comes with Pro. On the single event page the various elements of an event are placed by default, like time, location, countdown, booking form etcetera.

How can I rearrange those elements? I don’t really like the way they are arranged now but can’t find out where to adjust that.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! All the arrangements of the various elements in the events page were hard coded within the plugin. If you want to rearrange them, you will need to recode and modify the plugin itself which we do not always recommend. On the other hand, this is also considered as custom development which is beyond the scope of our support.

Thank you for your understanding.

Okay, thanks. Do you know if I can ask MEC for support? I can’t register because I don’t have a license key since it comes bundled with Pro/X.

Also I have made an event that I played with a bit. One such playful bit was making it repeated and adding several dates to it. However I deleted that and kept the event singular with no re-occurrence. On the homepage where I display a grid of all events it shows up as multiple events/occurrences. So somehow my deleting the several dates remains hard coded somewhere.

Hi again,

I tried to check your site but it is under construction currently, can you please disable the under construction page for a while so we can take a look?

Thanks!

Ah, sorry. Disabled.

Hi,

Could you provide a screenshot to clarify the issue and also your login credentials in a secure note.

Thanks!

See the secure note for login.

This is how it is now:

There are only two events, the first two. The third is not an event and neither are the ones that appear when you click the ‘Meer laden…’ button ('Show more).

Hi there,

It seems to be a bug in the plugin. I did cleared the cache and disabled the cache plugin, Added another plugin called the Transient Cleaner and cleaned the transient of the database and copies an event and named it to test test test. Now even the copied event is recurring.

I will add this to our issue tracker. As we are not the developers of the plugin we can not follow up the case but we will open up a support ticket on M.E.C. support website.

As you already mentioned you can not personally add a support ticket there as you do not have a purchase key. The plugin is bundled with the theme.

Thank you.

Hm, okay. I’ve seen more comments on MEC. I hope they get their act together. I have yet to come across an events plugin that runs smoothly.

Thank you for understanding, @yingfuli.
