MEC shortcode skins not selectable

Hi,

I’m trying to experiment with the skins in MEC’s editable shortcodes, but the dropdown menus are not displaying anything. I have tried with three different browsers including Chrome and Firefox, but I cannot see the dropdowns at all.

When I attempt to click on the dropdowns, there are no selectable items:

Update…

I have discovered that the cause of this is a compatibility issue with The ACF Pro plugin. Disabling ACF re-enables the dropdown menus in MEC.

I would suggest informing the developers so that they can wok out a fix between them!

Thank you for writing in, but sorry I can’t replicate this issue on my end, can you confirm the site is updated everything? WordPress, Theme, Cornerstone, ACF, and M.E.C. You can refer here for the latest supported version.

If you find something that is not up to date, please update it.

Updating Your Themes and Plugins

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Hi @friech, yes everything is up-to-date and MEC is on the latest supported version 4.9.0.

Here is the MEC shortcode editor after disabling ACF to compare with the image provided earlier. As you can see the dropdown menus have become available again.

Strangely I now cannot replicate the issue either. It was happening on both my staging and live sites, and once I disabled ACF on both, the MEC dropdown menus reappeared.

There is no doubt that disabling ACF Pro brought the MEC dropdown menus back to life - I disabled and re-enabled the plugins one by one, and this was the result.

However, re-enabling ACF does not cause the menus to disappear again, so this appears to be a one time process. In the circumstances it seems wise to leave ACF disabled, as it is more important that I am able to use MEC.
