MEC Shortcode rendering multiple instances of itself

Hi,

I am testing the newest version of X and MEC on my staging site. I am running:

Wordpress 5.7
X 8.3.1
Cornerstone 5.3.1
MEC 5.17.6

When I add MEC event shortcode to my page, it creates multiple versions of itself on the frontend. To see the issue, please visit my staging site using the credentials supplied in the secure note.

I have tested for plugin conflicts, and set the page template to default. The issue persists in all scenarios.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @outpost33,

I have visited your website and able to replicate the same issue in my local environment, I suspect this could be a bug on the latest version theme, and have reported it to the developers for further investigation.

Thanks for understanding

Hi @tristup,

Many thanks for the update. Is it possible to roll back to a version that works? Or do all newer versions of X and Cornerstone exhibit the same behaviour with MEC shortcode?

It would be good for me to have a staging environment where I can reliably test different scenarios.

Thanks again.

Hi @outpost33,

Yes, you can rollback to the last working version of the plugin by deleting the existing version. There is no such reported bug on any previous version of theme and plugin, and the issue has been already reported to the development team for further investigation.

Thanks for understanding

Hi @tristup,

Unfortunately rolling back MEC does not resolve the issue. I was referring specifically to rolling back X and Cornerstone. Is it possible?

Many thanks.

Hi @outpost33,

If you have a backup of your website, I suggest that you revert it back to where it is still working because there’s no option to rolling back the X and Cornerstone.

Thank you.
