MEC plugin from X Theme Pro still on old unupdatable version

The X Theme Pro bundled version of Modern Events Calendar MEC is still on version 6.8.15 which is no longer in the Wordpress Repo and will not update itself. The latest version is 6.8.25 and will auto-update. How can we get this installed on our sites running X Theme Pro?

Thanks for writing to us.

The latest supported version of the MEC plugin is up to the 6.8.15 version only. Our developers are still testing for compatibility and conflicts with the MEC 6.8.25 version. Once testing is done, it should be available in our Themeco plugin repository anytime soon.

You guys are 3 updates behind, the plugin can’t be auto updated until you update it to a newer version.

What conflicts are there? Are there any?

MEC has released another update and there is still no update from themeco. Can we please get a resolution for this?

Theme.co is behind by 4 updates and several months.

I’ll check with our admin next week. I believe he’s just going through any potential issues.

I started this thread 29 days ago, spending 29 days to “just go through any potential issues” is a bit extreme. This is not being addressed or handled at all. Can we escalate this to a supervisor? I am extremely unhappy with the support of this issue. Someone needs to take ownership of this problem and address it.

We are on MEC 6.8.30 as of April 21st, check your plugin page. I have received the email about MEC 6.9 and we will also update that in a week or two. Going through potential issues is not extreme at all.

I’m also interested in updating my version of MEC, I’ve looked around for this “Themeco plugin repository” and I can’t find it. I’ve tried updating to 6.8.30 on the Bulk Extension Manager and it says “Update package not available”.

I think there’s a conflict between MEC’s upgrader and ours. If you deactivate MEC and then upgrade it’ll jump to 6.8.30. I’ll look more into this.

Can confirm this works, deactivate MEC, upgrade through X Theme’s plugin manager and then reactivate from their plugin manager.
Worked correctly.
