MEC Maps API Error & Google reCaptcha Fails on MEC Bookings

Hi,

We have a problem with the Google Maps showing in every MEC Event. The Google Maps API is correctly set-up and the key is restricted to .domainname.com/ There is also a valid payment method in the Google account.

However, the maps still show the “This page can’t load Google Maps correctly.” error message.

A second problem is that if I enable Google reCaptcha on the booking forms, there is invariably a reCaptcha error, which will not allow the booking to proceed beyond the first phase. I have tried reCaptcha v2 and v3 - same issue on both. The reCaptcha functionality is currently switched off. This is secondary to the Maps issue above.

I have inspected your page and this is what I am seeing in the console:

You must enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project at https://console.cloud.google.com/project/_/billing/enable Learn more at https://developers.google.com/maps/gmp-get-started

It says in the error message above that the Billing must be enabled. Please log in to your Google account and double check your settings. See more instructions here:
