MEC is creating new user

Hi,
i need a little help. The Modern Event Calendar is creating new user when booking a ticket in the bookingform. They appear in the backend and also in the member area. How can i stop this?

Hello @cyrock,

Thanks for writing in! MEC will create a new user when someone books an event. This user account is the only link between the event and that someone who booked the event. It user account holds the necessary information about that person who happens to book to an event. this is how the MEC works.

ok, i see…the new “member” is registered as “subscriber”. i need the new “members” registered on another role i can specify “participant” for example… how can do this?

Hello @cyrock,

You can set a default role for all new users in WordPress Settings > General > New User Default Role. Make sure that it is set as “Participant”.
