MEC Different Monthly View Calendars based on different categories

Hi,

I want to display 2 monthly view calendars based on events like this:
calendar 1: Showing events from category A and category B

calendar 2: ​Showing events only from category B.
How to do that? I cannot see any additional category options for the shortcodes.

Thank you for your prompt response. Actually, I want to create 2 views of the same calendar with shortcode [MEC id=“19”]…I guess we cannot set categories individually for both the calendars with the mentioned option. Please let me know your opinion.

Yes, it’s not currently possible, I also tried and not doable at this moment.

I guess we can do it using hook. Could the MEC developer or someone help me with some pointer - I am not conversant with PHP. Thank you.

Using that would require custom development which is outside the scope of our support. In that case, you will need to hire a developer.

Hi, I didn’t try yet, but looking at the MEC documentation what I understand is that we can create new shortcodes as we need (shortcodes under MEC in wp-admin). And in the shortcodes we can define which categories to use… So for this case it would be two different shortcodes, one for each calendar no?

Yes you are correct. You can create new shortcodes that displays different categories as you have define in the shortcode filter category.
