MEC Calendar creating WP users conflicts with Woocommerce purchases

Hello Theme.co support team,
My customers are unable to checkout of my woocommerce store to purchase memberships and other products because they first booked an event via the MEC calendar plugin. This is happening because the MEC calendar plugin creates a user in the WP database and when they try to buy something from my store using the same email address, it prompts them to log into their account first; therefore, they are unable to proceed. this is a serious problem. I’ve seen other tickets submitted to MEC about similar conflicts occurring due to the fact they create a user behind the scenes. If a user is created and MEC does not provide any login information as part of the booking process, then how do I get those same users to be able to buy something from my store?

I submitted this to the MEC team but were no help at all (which is usually the case when I submit to their support team). Here’s the ticket: https://webnus.ticksy.com/ticket/2022795/

Thanks!
Brad

Hey Brad,

Do you have the same setup as the one shown in the tutorial video in the Pay by WooCommerce documentation of MEC?

That is, in M.E.Calendar > Settings > Payment Gateways, Pay by WooCommerce and Automatically complete WC orders are enabled.

In WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy, try enabling Allow customers to place orders without an account under Guest Checkout.

Still under Accounts & Privacy, try disabling account creation.

Thanks.
