MEC - Block out dates

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this question. On MEC using the frontend submission feature is there a mechanism to block out dates that already have an event for that date. For example there is and event already set for March 17 2020 and a user wants to have an event on that date. I would like the system to send a notice or warning message indicating that it is not possible to create an event since an event already exists?

If this is the wrong location can you direct me to who I should ask?

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully an event can be added on the same day. There isn’t an option to limit to add an event if that date has already have an event. You can check out this article: https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/add-event/

Meanwhile, what you have in mind might be possible with custom development or with the Pro version of the plugin. I would recommend that you contact the creators of the plugin for further inquiry. They maybe able to provide you a better solution for you.
