Marginless Columns in Pro

I am trying to achieve marginless columns in Pro. My site here had marginless columns working. However, in an attempt to build all of it in Pro without using previous elements I have now ‘lost’ the ability to make the marginless columns - which you will see if you visit the site.

I was just wondering how to do marginless columns with Pro’s content builder. I did look at the Knowledge Base but can’t see anything obvious there.

I have just worked this out. I found it in the ‘Row’ settings. I also am trying to work out how to include a slider in Pro but will start a new topic. Thanks.

Hi

Also how do I make the background images cover the column in a Pro content area’s marginless columns?

I found this topic but it may be for Cornerstone.

If you look at my site you can see the images are present but not covering the area.

Many thanks

Pretty much having a conversation with myself here as I keep figuring it out after posting! Still, may help someone else with same issue.

I noticed if I click in ‘Retina & Dimensions’ in the image section of the Inspector it scales the image by clicking on the eye icon. Not sure if this is right but seems to be doing what I want it to do.

For the columns, try updating to Pro 1.2.0 that came out today. The new layout system allows adding background images directly on a column and it may be what you’re looking for.

As for the image, yes that scales it by 50%. The idea is you can upload an image at twice the dimensions and it will look crisp on both standard screens as well as those with increased pixel density. For example, if you want a 100px wide image (in CSS px units) you should upload it as a 200px wide file. A “100px” width is forced, but the additional pixel depth will still be utilized on screens that support it.

That’s great, thanks

You are welcome!
