ManyChat for fb live chat

Trying to display a live chat button from Facebook on my website. listed below is what I got from ManyChat. I’ve tried putting the code in customize - custom - edit global javascript as well as in the head via the google analytics plugin. It’s not displaying on my website here: https://goalsarecool.com/

I’ve since removed the code. Can you please assist?

"This code allows ManyChat to display opt-in forms on your website and track subscriber activity. Install it just once per website and have unlimited fun with our widgets!

Place it into the of every page of your website."

<!-- ManyChat -->
<script src="//widget.manychat.com/123456789123456.js" async="async">
</script>

Hey @goalsarecool,

The code should be added in a Custom HTML widget or Raw Content element.

Thanks.

So, there is no global option?

I’ve tried putting the code in customize - custom - edit global javascript as well as in the head via the google analytics plugin. It’s not displaying on my website here: https://goalsarecool.com/

I’ve since removed the code.

Can you see the ManyChat code anywhere on my website or was it actually removed? Do I need to do anything else since it was inserted in the wrong places (global javascript and google analytics plugin)?

Also, why is the following not showing up when I view page source:

  • Facebook tracking pixel
  • Google Analytics tracking code

If you want to add it globally, you can put the code in a footer widget.

I’m sorry but I am not aware of this. You will need to remember where you’ve placed the code and remove it from the wrong places and then add it in the footer widget.

I am also not sure where you’ve placed these codes. Please remember where you’ve added them and then open a separate thread and give us details of how we could replicate the issue.

Thanks.

I found the Facebook tracking pixel and the Google Analytics tracking code when I logged out and viewed page source… that issue is resolved.

As it related to ManyChat, I inserted the code in customize - custom - edit global javascript as well as in the head via the Google Analytics plugin (that comes with X). The code has been removed from those two locations. Do I need to do anything else since it was inserted in the wrong places or am I good to go now?

Any plans that would allow us to use ManyChat globally and outside of a footer widget?

Thanks!

Hi There,

If you have removed the code from those specified locations, you’re good to go.

The following method should work as well, if you can follow along (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/where-to-add-script-in-x-pro-header-using-child-theme/9884/4?u=mldarshana).

Thanks!
