Manually assign header to search results page

My site is set up with multiple headers - I have one main header that only shows up on the front page and another ‘business’ page on the site, a secondary header that applies to a selection of pages, and a third header that applies to another selection of pages.

However, my search results page has no header attached. Am I correct in understanding that to do this I need to make one particular header Global (presuming the same header that I’ve applied to my posts)? And if I do that now, is that going to overwrite all the other pages on the site that have different headers?

Thanks

Hello @jamesdeandigital,

Thank you for the details. Yes you are right. You will need to create a custom header and assign it globally so that your archive page and search results page will have its own header. Once you assign a header globally, all those custom headers that you have assigned to specific pages will still work. The global header will be overridden once you assign a header to a particular page/s.

Best Regards.
