Managing staging server validation

Hi. I’m staging development on a server that’s not on the same server as the site when it will be live (and there is currently a site that’s live at the URL where this new work will end up). So I thought I should put the final destination site as the licensed URL, but then add my development server as the staging server. But when I do that, X says validation is successful but then decides it isn’t (see .mov).

So what do I need to do here? Make the licensed URL the dev server and then move it when we go live?

I checked your staging server site and then paste your valid license key from your Themeco account and it is validated now. It might be the issue browser cache or any browser extension that is stoping to validate the site.
