Making an Image url be https

Hi,

We recently added a SSL Cert and we need to add the “s” to the HTTP url that it pulls the image from. We are selecting the images using Classic Image and inserting from Media on the site.

Is there a way we can edit the image url to make the url https instead of http?

An example of this on the home page of getbusiness.fit, and inspecting the page and using the console tab.

Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

You can try with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/

After installing, please find all the http URLs then replace with the https URLs.

Let us know how it goes!

HI,

So you can’t do this within the CornerStone editor, is that correct? It has to be done at a database level by the sounds of it.

Thanks Mike

Hi Mike,

If your site is already converted to https but some images links are still using the http link, you have two options. It would either be manually removing and adding again the images on the pages so that the https link will be used of you may use the better search and replace plugin. But please make sure to keep a backup of your site before you make changes using the plugin, just in case.

Hope this helps.
