Making a section span full width?

Hi

Is it possible to have a section span the full width? I’d like to be able to add images that fill the full screen width.

I have the header and footer set to full width, which works well, but the sections that I add seem to be locked to 1200px width.

I can adjust the site width up to 1500px and 100% within Theme Options > Layout & Design but new sections seem to be restricted to this.
Is there a CSS that can be used to override the section width for new sections added? Or am I missing a setting somewhere?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Funnily I’m having the same question. It seems that depending on the Stack used it’s always kinda boxed.
As you saw in the theme options, you can set the site width differently. The slider may only give you up to 1500px but you can edit the value manually, I help myself by inputting 5000px, just to make sure that even 4k monitors get a full width experience. Thanks to the clever encapsulation of containers in X/Pro, you still have good margins/paddings when you set them on the sections.

Hope that helps!

Little hint: you can also set the content width (max. 90% to 100 i.e.) and so forth to values higher than proposed by the slider, sometimes helpful if you want to get rid of paddings for elements within the sections!

Hi There,

1- Make sure to select on Cornerstone > Settings > Templates > Blank No Container Header Footer.

Once you add a section > Click on the row, and turn off column container.

Hope it helps

Hi Joao

I’m using Pro, and can’t follow the file thread you have given…

Cornerstone > Settings > Templates > Blank No Container Header Footer

See attached

Hi There,

Sorry for the confusion, on the content builder, click the Settings then General > Page Template

Use a Blank - No Container | Header, Footer template.

Then inspect your ROW (where your image is placed) and turn Off the Inner Container option.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

Yes, this works! Thanks

You are always welcome!
