Make Top Menu Items UnClickable

On my menu, I have three main areas with several sub-items under each menu item. I would like to make it so that the top menu item is not clickable - so that the only option is to click on the sub-menu items. Is this possible?

Yes it is possible.

Please add the top menu items as custom links then add javascript: void(0); as the URL.
