Make site mobile friendly

My site content appears on top of each other, which is bad for clients.
Is there a patch of code i can apply (and where?) that will make content appear side by side (squeezed).
There’s also WPTouch Pro for over $100. Will that work?

Thanks for writing.

Actually, that is what mobile friendly websites does - stack the columns above each other on smaller devices because of you try to squeeze the columns to two columns even in small devices, your text will most likely be unreadable or will cause an issue with the layout of your site.

Also, even if you install a third party plugin, it might still do the same thing since that is the concept of mobile friendly pages which is to collapse all columns to one column when there is not enough space.
