Make Recent Post Images full sized

Hi there,

I use square images throughout my site, but the “Recent Post” widget crops them so while they are still square, the full image isn’t showing.

Is there a way to make the Recent Post thumbnail not crop the original image?

Here is what the image on the post looks like: http://fraichenutrition.com/fit-mom-post-baby-workout-rebuilding-those-abs/

Attached is a screen shot of how it is being cropped.

Thank you!
Stacey

Hi Stacey,

You have to install and activate the child theme first.

After that adding this code under functions.php file locates in your child theme:

function x_shortcode_recent_posts_v3( $atts ) {
  extract( shortcode_atts( array(
    'id'           => '',
    'class'        => '',
    'style'        => '',
    'type'         => 'post',
    'count'        => '',
    'category'     => '',
    'offset'       => '',
    'orientation'  => '',
    // 'show_excerpt' => 'true',
    'no_sticky'    => '',

Let us know how it goes!
