Make a html newsletter-mail an blog post

Hi there,

I’ve created a website for a newsletter.
eightdaw.com
There should be an Archive of all past send Newsletters.
Right now I am using the Archive Java Script Code of Cleverreach. (my newsletter platform)
For the Future this will be unclear, too complex. There has to be a filter and search option.

For my Question:
Is it possible to display the html/css of the Newsletter as a blog post? (Without the themes css interfering)

(e.g. Display this http://chronik.eightdaw.com/m/11989391/507189-d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e?utm_source=CleverReach&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=14-05-2020+KW_20+2020&utm_content=Mailing_11989391 as Wordpress Blog Post)

As a result I want to have the same options (sorting by tabs, display excerpts, etc.) as I would have posting a blog using Wordpress.

Hope I could express myself clearly!

Super glad if You could help!

Best
Pavlo Kochan

Hi Pavlo,

Thank you for writing in, but sorry I am not entirely certain of what you’re trying to do. If it’s customizing this page’s (https://eightdaw.com/chronik/) layout, then sorry we can’t provide support for that.

And this (http://chronik.eightdaw.com/m/11989391/507189-d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e?utm_source=CleverReach&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=14-05-2020+KW_20+2020&utm_content=Mailing_11989391 ) is not using the theme’s template, so the theme won’t interfere with this.

Please clarify,
Thanks,

Hi friech,

thank you for your fast answer! Sorry for not being clear enough.

Basically I am asking if it is possible to upload the mail newsletter (index.html) as a blogpost without the themes css interfering.

So, if I import the html/css of the newsletter right now it is displayed like this:

In the post editor & after upload:

I need it to be displayed as in the original:

Did I manage to clarify?

Thank You so much for helping me!

Pavlo

Hey Pavlo,

I think the correct term to avoid confusion is you want to post the contents of your newsletter which is basically composed of HTML code. In that case, our theme will style those HTML content unless you add your own CSS.

If you want to preserve the format, it’s best to convert your email to PDF and upload it to your site. If you’re not sure how to code CSS or convert web mail to PDF, you’d need to consult with a 3rd party developer.

Hope that helps and thank you for understanding.
