Major conflict with Pro/Cornerstone and Elementor

Hi Themeco Team,

We are trying to customize the appearance of our WooCommerce Product forms, and since Pro/Cornerstone does not have the functionality to do this, we purchased and installed Elementor Pro. Unfortunately, Elementor is not loading and after doing some troublshooting and speaking with Elementor support, we have determined that there is likely a conflict between Pro/Cornerstone and Elementor. When we remove Pro/Cornerstone and test with another theme, Elementor works perfectly.

When attempting to load Elementor on our site built with Pro/Cornerstone, we’re getting the following error.

We’re hoping there’s a way to disable Cornerstone on just WooCommerce pages so we can use Elementor instead. Can you please help us by suggesting a way to use Elementor on all WooCommerce pages and Pro/Cornerstone for the rest of our site?

Hi Eric,

Thanks for reaching out.
To deactivate the Cornerstone only for the Products, you need to disable the option from Cornerstone> Settings > Permissions as shown in the given screenshot.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thank you for your response. We tried disabling Cornerstone under Permissions before reaching out and it didn’t work.

Can you please take a closer look?

Hi Eric,

It shows the Default Kit is missing, I checked it from Elementor > Tools > General and recreated it. Now the Products are loading in the Elementor.

Thanks

Thank you for taking a closer look. Unfortunately it’s still not working.

Elementor is template based, so like X/Pro, we need to build a template for Single Products, Cart, Checkout, etc. which are applied to the selected pages—in our current case, we need a Single product template built with Elementor. During this process is where we’re running into conflicts.

Here are the steps to replicate:

Templates > Add New

Enter the type of template: Single Product and name

This is where we’re encountering the error.

Would you please take another look and let us know if there’s a way to resolve this conflict with the theme?

We also have the Divi builder plugin—if you think that will work as an alternative, please let us know!

Hi Eric,

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the Elementor and the process it follows. If you have a problem or queries about it, I would suggest you contact the Elementor support on this.

Thanks
