Mailchimp Form - Submit Button Not Sub,itting

Hi,

I have added a simple Mailchimp form into a Pro footer using the Email Forms plugin supplied with Pro. The form displays ok, but the submit button greys out and the cursor turns to the “forbidden” symbol when the button is clicked.

  • I have double-checked my settings both on-page and in Pro, but cannot see anything wrong.

  • I have disabled all plugins except Email Forms to check for conflicts, but this has no effect and the problem remains.

Do you have any ideas as to what could be causing the problem?

My login details will come by Secure Note. The problem Mailchimp form is at the very bottom-right corner of each page.

Many thanks,
Chris

Hi There,

Thank you for writing in, I am seeing this JS error when I try to subscribe an email (Uncaught TypeError: $(...).alert is not a function), more likely its a plugin conflict or caching related issue. Please do the following;

  • Clear all the site caches (plugins, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
    If the issue, persist, please deactivate this caching while you do the other solutions below.

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  • Remove custom Javascript and custom templates (if any).

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
