Magento B2B shop to Wordpress?

Hi Folks =)

We have a B2B Magento 1.9 Webshop for technical industry products (around 650 products and 1000+ customers who can login and place email orders). And I was thinking if migrating this webshop to Wordpress with X/X pro, through woocomerce and some kind of members plugin would make sense?

Or should we keep going Magento and hire a developer to migrate it to version 2.today for us? We gonna have to migrate anyways before summer 2020, as support for Magento 1.9 version will stop.

Whether we choose one or the other, it would be an expensive solution. But would like to know if someone has done it? and preferebly with the X theme /pro.

Hello @SharoFF,

Thanks for writing in! This is the first time we have encounter Magento being migrated to WordPress. We do not have any hands on experience in the process. It has been done before for sure. You might be interested in checking out this article instead:

Hope this helps.

Oh, that’s unfortunate =/ Perhaps you have some good case stories of X/Pro theme and Woocomerce in general? but thanks @RueNel as of the migration part, I’ll have a look at that.

Hey @SharoFF,

Regretfully, we don’t have case stories or case studies. You will want to try posting in our Peer to Peer Forum to see if other users can share their experience. Our Peer to Peer Forum is the correct channel to post non-theme-related questions by the way. I say non-theme because WooCommerce is separate from our themes. Our theme’s role is just for styling.

Thanks.
