Hi there,
i created 6 events for a new website as you can see on the second screenshot. In the carousel view (slider and other views as well) the first two events in the timeline do not show. Can you help me on that?
Thank you very much!

Hey There,
Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:
Set it as Secure Note
All the best!
Hello There,
Regretfully the given credentials is not working for us. The given password seems invalid.
Please double check it.
Thanks.
Hello There,
I have checked your site and your carousel view. All the settings seems correct. Please make sure that all the authors were selected, categories or any other filter that might exclude other events. After saving the changes since you have installed W3 Total Cache, please clear the plugin cache and also login to your CloudFlare account and purge your site cache too before testing the site.
Please let us know how it goes.
Hi There,
Thanks for checking!
I checked the authors and categories for each single event, everything looks like its supposed to be and i did not find any filters, which could exclude an event.
InW3 i could not find the option to clear the specific M.E.C. cache, so I cleared the Site cache.
The problem still occurs.
Hello There,
I’ve taken further my investigation and it turns out that only the events that has a featured image will be displayed in Carousel view. That make sense because the Carousel view displays images. Please edit all your events and make sure that you added a featured image for each of those events. That should display all the events in the carousel view.
If you need anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
Hi There,
thank you very much for your investigations! Yes, the missing featured images were the reason!
I did set the same image for all events, and now all events are displayed.
The only thing now is, that only the first three events show the image, the others show a spinning wheel as you can see here: http://amsc.schmidt-photo.com/regatten
The image has a size of only about 120 KB, might it still be to big and cause loading problems?
Hi there,
The 120K is totally ok for a slider image. I see that it is somehow inconsistent and after a click on the slider or changing the browser window size it loads anyway:
And I see no Javascript error in the browser console so I am unable to debug this. We will need to report this to M.E.C. developers and ask them to follow up.
I am not sure if there is any options regarding the Lazy Load in the slider but if there is any please disable it as aparantly it is not working correctly. If it is not we should report this to M.E.C. guys anyway.
Thank you for your follow up regarding this.
Ok. Good to know, that it is not a mess which was produced by wrong setup…
I could not find a lazy loading option in the M.E.C. settings.
For the moment i will use another shortcode, which shows the events in the slider view.
Thank you very much for your support!
You’re most welcome!
