Lost photos after updating theme

Hello,
After updating theme x to version to 5.2.2 and cornerstone to 2.1.2 I lost al my photo’s. (I use the child-theme)
Fortunately I have got a back-up but i like to use the latest versions.
What’s the reason?

Thanks for writing in!

Can you confirm if you’ve lost the photos just on the front-end of the site, or if they’ve actually been deleted/removed from the WP Media library?

Actually there not lost and also are still in the media library, but if a open the page in cornerstone there not in the page anymore. Its just one page and i use one page navigation.

Upon checking, I can see all images are pointing to http://minccollection.nl/cms/ instead of just http://minccollection.nl/

Have you just recently migrated your site?

You can try this third plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/ to replace all urls with /cms .

Strange, the site is not migrated and in the former theme/cornerstone version it worked normally.

I think there is a misunderstanding, indeed the site is ok, but when I login in cornerstone all pictures are lost. In the former editions of X and cornerstone there was no problem and the site is not migrated.

Thank you for the clarifications. I have investigated the issue and was able to resolve it finally. You can check your pages now in Cornerstone. Here’s what I did:
1.) Installed WP Migrate DB
2.) With WP Migrate DB, I used the powerful search and replace feature. I simply search for http://minccollection.nl/cms/wp-content/uploads/ and replaced it with http://minccollection.nl/wp-content/uploads/
