Lost in translation

Hello great support team,
I installed Theme X more than 6 years ago, and I recall the change to Pro. I believe my Theme is now Pro.
But why is it that my global CSS has .x in the class selector?

Also, is the ‘Cornerstone’ plugin still needed? Mine is not activated. Can I delete it?
However, when I go to my Wordpress dashboard “All Pages”, I still see “edit with Cornerstone” in the default editor panel? Please see attached screen. Why is Cornerstone still seen there?

I think somewhere in between I lost the plot…

Hello @iamwithU,

Thanks for writing to us.

I checked your Themeco account dashboard it seems that you have a Pro theme license and you are using the Pro theme. Please note we have two themes one is the X theme and another one is the Pro theme. Pro theme has more advanced features than the X theme such as Header/Footer builder and Layout builder. You can use Pro Header/Footer builder to create a custom Header/Footer for the page, posts, archive page, etc. You can create a custom layout for blog pages, category archive pages, and tag archive pages. You can also create custom layouts for the WooCommerce shop page, Product archive page, and Product details page as well.

In the X theme, you need to install the Cornerstone page builder plugin separately from the X theme bundled plugin whereas in the Pro theme you don’t need to install the Cornerstone page builder separately. The Cornerstone page builder plugin is inbuilt with the Pro theme.

You may check out our doc to learn more about the difference between X and Pro themes.

For the naming, after the update of the Pro theme, your dashboard would look like this, there would Pro menu and a Cornerstone menu. Please have a look at the given screenshot below.

In the last major release, we separated the Pro and the Cornerstone, which were previously integrated within the theme. Now you can find the Validation and other Bundled plugin settings under the Pro menu and builder-related options under the Cornerstone menu.

Thanks

Thank you @prakash_s for that super prompt response.

Your picture is very helpful. Yes I do see Cornerstone in my Wordpress dashboard too. So I can go delete the Cornerstone plugin.

You’ve cleared up the mystery or confusion for me. But just one more loose end: if I’m using Pro, why are there .x selectors in my global CSS… Just a subset of Pro I suppose?

Hello @iamwithU,

Yes, the “.x” CSS selector is related to the Pro theme, as I mentioned in the above posts Pro theme more advanced features than the X theme just because you are getting a CSS selector of the X theme.

Thanks

Fabulous, @prakash_s. I see the whole story now. Thank you very much.

Hello @iamwithU,

Glad that we were able to help you. Please feel free to open a new thread if you have any more concerns regarding our theme and theme settings.
