I have been using Cornerstone for several years without changing the structure. I realized over the weekend the site was no longer working (it was reporting a critical error). Cornerstone seemed to be missing from the site so I just purchased it again and added the latest version.
Now the site loads but all my formatting (header, footer and menu) is missing and I’m not sure how to get it back.
Hi Tom,
Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website listed in the Themeco Account, but it requires some investigation through the WordPress admin dashboard. Can you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:
– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
Thanks
Hi Tom,
Unfortunately, the given credentials are not working. Can you please check and send it once again ?
Thanks
you have a bad c&p - you are missing the starting “s” in the password
Checking in to see if you were able to get access with the correct pw?
Hey Tom,
Yes, I see that your website is down. The only option you have to restore your website is to contact your web host and restore a working version of it for you.
Please note that broken sites after an update does not mean the theme is at fault. The theme is only a part of WordPress. With that said, it is strongly recommended that you test updates in a staging environment first. You can read our update recommendations here.
Once your website is restored by your web host, kindly set up the staging environment so we can investigate the update why the issue happens only on your end.
Thank you.
