After the last update i have lost the favicon of my website 
which could be the problem? in fact the cornerstone is broken as well …

Thanks for writing in!
In the latest release version, we have remove the Site Icons in the theme options and have migrated to native WordPress “Site Icon” settings for cleaner brand management. You will have to go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity and upload your favicon again.
And by the way after doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches since you have installed WP Super Cache so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
