Looper provider count issue

Hi,

I was following this tutorial and ran into trouble upon setting up the looper consumer because, at this point (and unlike in the video), the copies of the first cell were no longer ghosted into the columns they’d be presenting data from.

When I set the count on the looper provider to 3, two random posts appeared. When I set it to 6, nothing appeared. When I set the count to default or removed the number, all 6 posts appeared – but I only want one row of 3.

I’ve tried to repeat the process and follow the steps again but I can’t find what I’ve done wrong.

Thank-you for your help.

Hi Natasha,

Thanks for reaching out.
I am not sure what issue you are having. I have checked the Recent Post section and changed the number of posts and it shows properly. In those, a few of the posts do not have the featured image and that is why that portion is showing blank.
If that is not the case and you are trying to point out something else, please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem.

Thanks

Thank-you, whatever you did, it looks to be working alright now.

There’s this issue that I can’t seem to solve and the video doesn’t appear to address. When I set a layout per resolution size, any remainder posts wrap to the next line. Here are some screencaps that hopefully explain what I’m talking about:

Can you help me see what I’m missing?

Thank you for your help.

Hello Natasha,

I would suggest you go to the Row where you have set the Looper provider, you need to disable the count and Offset.

Now you need to go to the column where you have set the looper consumer and set the consumer as “many” and then you would get an option to set the post number. You need to set the post count in the item.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Thank-you so much. I did that but unfortunately, I’m still getting the same results. Here are my current settings:

Have I misunderstood anything?

Thank you so much again.

Hey Natasha,

Set the count only on the Looper Provider. In the Looper Consumer, you can set it to “All”.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, those settings are still resulting in a wrap when the number of posts exceeds the template’s column count.

Try starting with the “Post (Tiles)” template in the Element Library which handles this scenario elegantly like the below. You are either going to have to set the consumer count to 3, or hide the 4th item when the template count is at 3 with some fancy CSS. Happy Holidays!
