Looper for upcoming MEC events, inc. recurring events

Hi,

I’ve been searching through the forums to find an answer to this question. I found a number of threads but no definitive answer.

I’m using a looper with one of the dynamic elements, Posts (Minimal), to pull in upcoming MEC events. I used a query string as follows:

post_type=mec-events&post_status=publish&meta_key=mec_start_date&meta_type=DATE&meta_compare=>=&meta_value={{dc:global:date format=“Ymd”}}

This works ok for non-recurring upcoming events, but recurring events do not show up. How is it possible to show the recurring events too?
