Other news ACF entries display correctly. The news story I added today does not display the title within the hyperlink. I’m not sure if this is an issue with caching or …?

We modified the Settings > Location Rules of the news field group because it was set to display only if the post type was both “page” or “story”. We have corrected this condition
You can now edit the post fields of the story items.
