Loop over links in content

Hi,

In my posts I reference previously written posts on my website through links in the content. Is there a way to loop over these posts so that I can highlight them in a sidebar?

I need this to be on the specific posts, not on any taxonomy related to the posts.

Hope you can help
Bart

Hi Bart,

Thanks for reaching out.
It sounds like you’re manually adding links to other posts within your content, and you’d like to automatically pull those linked posts and display them in the sidebar of each post. If that is the case, you need custom development which is beyond the scope of Theme Support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you in doing the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One TOTAL CARE, where we offer small customizations.
If that is not the case, please explain a bit more for further assistance.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, you describe my challenge accurately, thanks for replying promptly.
I am capable of developing my own solution, but wanted to know beforehand if it was maybe already supported.
The alternative path might be using ACF to manually add the links to these posts, and then use them.

Thanks

Hi Bart,

Thanks for confirming. You’re correct — this functionality isn’t natively supported, so using ACF to manually manage and link the related posts would be an alternative.
You could use a repeater or relationship field for this, depending on how flexible you’d like the setup to be.

Hope it helps.
Thanks
