Longitude and Latitude wrong on Google Maps

Hi there

I’m looking to add a marker to my google map on my page (I have used the classic google maps element) I’ve set up my API key and it’s working fine however when I put in the longitude and latitude values they just do not show up in the right place.

I got the values from google maps itself “52.570275, -1.823994” which shows “Sutton Coldfield” which is where I am trying to place my marker so I inputted the same values into the marker. However when viewing my live website it’s showing up hundreds of miles away. Any reason why this is happening?

My website is - rjdesigns.website

Thanks

EDIT: Managed to fix it using the maps element instead. However I cannot add a market, change the height or hue in this element? Would I add this in custom CSS or?

Hey @rystaman,

Those options aren’t available for the Maps element yet and you could also not use CSS to tweak the map. Please use the Classic Map for now and give us all of the coordinates and we’ll try to replicate it on our end.

Thanks.

Hi Christian

No worries, somehow when I reloaded the classic map and put back in the co-ordinates it seemed to fix it and is now working fine? Unsure on what the problem was but it’s sorted now

It sounds like just an issue with browser cache. Glad it’s sorted out.
