If I build a website with Cornerstone, and then for some reason Cornerstone breaks or is uninstalled, will the website break? What kind of code does the Cornerstone builder leave behind? I’ve heard of some WP site builders that will break a site if uninstalled, not updated continuously, or is somehow broken. Others will leave behind reasonably clean HTML. Which one is this?

Thanks for writing in! Cornerstone plugin is a mandatory plugin for X theme. If you have created any pages using Cornerstone builder, those pages will not be rendered correctly without the plugin. Also if you’re using X theme shortcodes, you will need to have Cornerstone plugin active to render it correctly.
Since it’s a mandatory plugin, it will re-install it automatically once you head over to X -> Validation section (you just have to wait for few seconds).
X theme also supports Visual Composer page builder which you can use it as an alternative plugin but still you need to have Cornerstone plugin activated.
