Long time needed to open editing area of the Subheadline

Hi!

I have noticed that very often, If I want to edit a subheadline in the Headline element, I have to click several times and often wait for very long time until I manage to open it. This was true for the dev Pro site with no caching, as well as for the live site, and also one other X site.

Is this just me, or perhaps there is room for optimization here?

Thanks!

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! The sub headline is part of the headline element. You will need to click the headline element first and then scroll to the “Subheadline Setup” section.

Hope this helps.

Hi, excuse me for not being clear enough.

The issue is not how to open it, but the fact that when I do click it, it doesn’t open.

I already have a subheadline set up. I want to edit it, but when I click the Text field, the text area does not show up. I have to click many times and wait for long for it to finally open.

Hope this clarifies it.

Thanks!

Hello There,

Thank you for the clarifications. I have check our local testing servers and in just one click, the textfield where you can edit the sub headline will display. No issues has been encountered. In your case, there might be some JS issue or conflict which have caused the issue. Would you mind providing us access in your site so that we can take a closer look?

Kindly let us know.

Sure, no problem. I’ll include it in the private message.

This is not consistent, though. Right now I don’t have issues with opening it. But sometimes it takes very long time.

There are Console errors, but I’m not sure what they represent.

Thanks!

Hi There,

I have tried to login to your site, but I’m getting the following error (see secure note). Could you please confirm ?

Thanks!

Sorry for that! This is second time that auto-generated password did not stick after saving it. Strange.

Please try again, now it works.

Hey @Misho,

It’s loading fine on my end (see Secure Note). There’s also no error except for the image that failed to load. I also checked my test sites and I didn’t experience this issue also. Are the sites having this issue hosted in the same server? Also, have you tested other browsers including incognito mode?

Thanks.

Hi,

I will do additional tests. I can now add that my client has just called me saying she has tried to change the subuheading on the page which I have shared with you, and she was unable to open the text box. She is on Macbook. I am on Windows 10.

I told her that I will try, and I had to click 15-20 times before it opened. I have also told her that I have open support ticket for this.

Hi Misho,

I confirm that it’s working fine at my end using Chrome on linux and Chrome/Safari on MacOS, when this happens again, can you open the browser console then take a screenshot of the console and share the screenshot with us so we can investigate this issue?

Thanks.

Hello! I am having the same issue, pretty consistently. I’ve taken a screenshot of the console from firefox on MacOS.

@OLCVStaff, would you mind starting a new thread regarding this issue? And please provide your site’s URL and login credentials in a secure note of your thread. I like to check what the error is about.

Thanks!
