Logo image header url fix

So I have a logo image on my site, my theme is theme x, stacks is icon. I am using a CDN and that logo image is being loaded off the origin server and I cant force to load from the CDN because its hard coded. I have no option to choose a url for the logo image in the customizer menu but I have to select an image from the media.

Is there a way I can manually select a url for the logo image and if not, can you please point me to which files in the theme I can manually edit the url for the logo image. If you can add in the next update to also manually choose a url for the logo image header that will be great.

Please let me know what can be done.

Bump, please help

Why am I not getting any replies to this? I just need to know in which file to edit the URL for the logo image.

Hi there!

On media manager, you can inform an external URL. Try the following steps:

  • launch X;
  • select Options;
  • on Theme Options, select Header;
  • on LOGO – IMAGE you have Source; click one time on the actual image to remove, another time to open the media manager;
  • at your left, click on Insert from URL and paste the URL of your CDN image
  • click on Insert into post button on bottom right corner
  • save on bottom left corner of X screen.

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks!

I dont want to use x pro so im not launching it, Im happy with theme x so far. That option is not available with this in the customizer so I want to know how to do it manually in the theme files.

Hi There,

It’s the same difference with X|Theme, navigate to X > Launch > Options > Header > Logo Upload.

As you already know you wont have the Insert from URL option from the Customizer > Header so use the Theme Options instead, plus we are kind of moving away from the Customizer so better use to with the Theme Options.

But if you really need a file, you’re looking for _brand.php under x\framework\legacy\cranium\headers\views\global directory. Please keep in mind that if you choose this customization path it would ultimately be your responsibility to take it from here.

Cheers!

Launching it worked, thank you and sorry for the late reply.

You’re welcome.
