Local pro theme not validated

I obtained a pro unlimited account and I’m trying to validate a local installation of the pro theme.
The dashboard takes my license key, says it’s activated and then underneath shows the message ‘not activated yet’.
When I add the license key of a former bought theme (from a client) I can validate the pro theme as a staging location and everything works.
How can I validate my localhost with my local theme so i can get access to plugins and design cloud?
(only difference seems to be that the ‘http://’ is omitted in the pro location)

http://localhost:8888/local_pro
validates as staging location from a single license

localhost:8888/local_pro
doesn’t validate as a pro-unlimited location

kind regards,
Brecht

Hello Brecht,

Thanks for writing in!

Please use the Site URL in Settings > General > Site URL. This should be the URL you use when assigning the license code. If you can omit the 8888 port in your URL, please do. It may seem that the license validation does not accept it. If you are using Mamp or related software, please reset your port and set it to 80.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

@ruenel

using the default port (80) local did indeed solve the issue.
It’s not ideal, as I have to switch between ports now (for my other local sites) but it will do for now.

Strange that with a single pro-license the local port 8888 does work.

Thanks for your help,

kind regards
Brecht

You’re welcome, Brecht. I’ll pass this on to dev team to see if this can be improved in the future.

Thanks.

Hi, similar issue here
The local site url is: https://mysite:8890

How can I make the pro version work?

Hey There,

Our development team is currently investigating this issue and once it’s confirmed and resolved we will get back to you. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks. Once resolved could it be possible to include a screenshot of how to do it?

Well… suddenly it seems to work now!

Hello Joris,

It’s good to know that the issue is now resolved.

Regards.
