Local pick up in woocommerce is removing tax

Hey there apologies this is not an X specific question but i am a little lost for answers! I have set up my shipping classes etc and tax is automatically calculated when the user selects flat rate shipping but if they select local pick up the tax is going back to zero? Any ideas?

My website is www.lawteyfeed.com and a local address zipcode to test this is 32058

Thank you!

Hi @daddysnack,

Thanks for reaching out.

Local Pickup is a method that allows the customers to pick up the order themselves. So if you are referring to the shipping charges, that do not apply to it.
If you are referring to the tax, it can be applicable once you choose “Tax Status” as “taxable”. To know more on the “Local Pickup” option and settings please go through this article: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/local-pickup/

As this issue is with the WooCommerce and not with our theme, I would suggest you to contact with the plugin support here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/
Please remember that we don’t offer any support to the third party plugins.

Thanks

Hi thanks for your response, I logged into make this change and realised my shop pages have all 404’d and i am getting the following message:

Your theme (X) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:

  1. Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
  2. If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.

I am currently running X theme version 7.2.3

It looks like there are some incompatibility issues between X theme and the latest woocommerce plugin. Would you be able to take a look at my website please?

Hey Tariq,

Thank you for providing credentials.

I see you’re using WooCommerce version 4.3.2. We do not support it yet. According to our Version Compatibility page, we currently support WooCommerce version 4.2.2.

Please downgrade to that version to avoid issues. If you’re not sure how to do that, please follow the instruction here https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/installing-uninstalling-woocommerce/#section-5

If you still encounter issues with the WooCommerce 4.2.2, please detail what those are and also provide screenshots.

In case you wish to use the latest WooCommerce version, you need to consult with a developer to update the templates. Please just note that because they will be overriding our theme, we are not responsible for issues that will arise from any modification.

Thanks.
