Loading the preview took longer than expected. There may be script conflicts on this page

Hi, I’ve seen this error discussed in the support forum, however, the solutions listed are exhaustive. Is there an intuitive fix you can share to help resolve the conflict error on my Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page when I go to do edits within Cornerstone? The page will not fully populate with the elements.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in!

Loading the preview took longer than expected. There may be script conflicts on this page
This is just a Cornerstone notice and cannot be considered as an error. A Cornerstone error display in red and this is in grey color. It just let you know why it took a little longer to load the page in the preview area. It may have been caused by some scripts or conflicts as what the notice is saying.

To get rid of this notice, you may need to check several things.
1.) Please make sure that there are no JS errors on the page.
2.) When you insert a custom html in a text element or raw content element, it should be a valid and correct code. Any invalid html code or incorrect and even unclosed html tag may cause an issue.
3.) And you could do testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi and thank you for your reply. Those are all very helpful tips. My larger challenge is that the elements on the page do not load. They show pinwheels that continue spinning but never populate.

Do you have any input on what may be causing this and how I can resolve to continue site development?

Thank you!

Hi there,

As the loading effect, you mentioned is not available in the front end of your website and it seems something related to the content you have in the Cornerstone I suggest that you get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your website using the Secure Note functionality of the post.

The tips my colleague mentioned does help regarding the problem you are experiencing. So kindly get back to us with the result of those tests also.

Thank you.
