Hi, team.
Before going on with this important WPO issue, let me please recap on similar threads:
- Native Lazy Loading control is an urging need (my initial request, quite clear)
- Disable Lazy Load on header Logo (probably most universal failure in WPO)
- Image lazy load options (Mirko’s, already mentioned in list item#1)
I am working this around with several solutions depending on the website I am working on, please take a look to this plugin as a way to handle this need:
Optimize More Images at https://wordpress.org/plugins/optimize-more-images/
(maybe this is also useful to some colleague, good tricks welcome)
Most of this kind are harsh and no-coder unfriendly. With all due respect and thankful to those developing such plugins. This one I mentioned works fine with landing pages and tinny microsites, but bigger WP’s go rapidly out of control.
I would not be alone loving PRO being able to do this out of the box. Honestly I feel this is a must-have, not a nice-to-have. It is not a selfish call, I think this serves everyone. For those ignoring the setting, they will sleep well anyway.
Also somehow a call for more supports on this request.
- Settings for making any image element loading eager or default lazy (IMAGE for starters?)
- Setting to tell WP to preload a given active (say an IMAGE for starters)
- Hackever you can think of to make things go faster…
Thanks for your time!
