Load page template from different site

Hello —

I’m struggling to duplicate the parallax affect from an X site I previously did. Basically, I want the exact same parallax effect from this page to appear on this page. Basically I’m looking for the image to remain stationary and the text to scroll over it.

It seems the easiest way to do this would be to just save the page template from the old site and load it on the new site. Is there a way to do this? I understand they use different stacks so not sure if the CSS is different.

Hi @kenfbell,

The previous site that you have linked is using a Classic Section whereas the new site is using a V2 Section.

However, it is absolutely possible to mimic the parallax behavior of background images using the v2 sections.

You just need to enable the Background Parallax option of either the Upper or Lower background. Please see the screenshots below for reference:

Thanks for the response. I’ve activated the lower layer of the section with image/parallax but still don’t see the effect. The text and image both scroll. I’m looking to keep the image stationary while the text scrolls. Is there another setting somewhere?

The WordPress user that you have created, does not have enough permissions to check your page templates.

It seems that page is corrupted, I can confirm the parallax setting is not working.

I’ve also created a new test page and the parallax is working fine:

Can you please try creating a new page and start to work on it?

Thanks for your reply but I don’t see the effect on the page you created. What I’m looking for is the effect on this page where the image stays stationary but the text scrolls. Whenever I put the section you created at the top of a page, it doesn’t do that. Both the image and text scroll together.

Is it even possible to have this effect in V2? Is there some way to revert to a V1 page?

Both V2 and Classic sections have parallax effect. The effect is little bit different and you can choose according to your preference. I have updated your example page above using V2 and Classic examples.
