Links not working on mobile

Hi,

I am using the theme but allot of my links do not work on mobile. not always on all mobiles but the culprit at the moment is mostly chrome mobile and browsers like samsung mobile browser… can anyone help me with this?

Would you please kindly give us more information on the links that you have problems with? Kindly get back to us with the URL of the page in question and also the screenshot of the links that you have problems with.

I also wonder how you added the link, did you use the Page Builder/Cornerstone elements or you are talking about the Menu Items or other stuff?

Finally, I’d appreciate it if you get back to us with the result of the steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  3. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options and/or Child Theme and test the case.

Hi Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve included the url in the secure note

  1. PHP version is 7.3.14, wordpress is 5.3.2., mysql 5.5.64. Theme is latest same with plugins
  2. It seems the problem is the Smooth Scroll plugin from theme.co itself… once disabled… the links work again (before that once you clicked on it… it would smoothly scroll around 2% up and stop and do nothing)
  3. CSS removal did nothing

Hey @sassi80,

Thanks for doing the plugin conflict test. I have replicated what you’ve described. That is normal though. If the scroll action is not complete, it will not allow for other events to take place like the clicking of links.

If that behavior is undesired, regretfully, you need to find an alternative to our Smooth Scroll plugin which supports your desired behavior.

so solution is to put the scroll to top as early possible before interaction with any other links. ?

Hello @sassi80,

The Smooth Scroll and the Scroll to top are two different elements. As you click on the Scroll to Top, smooth scroll maybe applied if the plugin is active.

I disabled both of them, not worth the hassle of troubleshooting but thanks for the help anyways
