Links causing element spacing issues

Hello,

I am still getting used to the latest version of the software and I am having some issues with random spacing between columns.

So on the link supplied, but screenshot example below with crude red lines showing where random row spacing is appearing.

With the first one, it’s the addition of html links alongside your theme shortcode in the text box alongside that causes the spacing issue. If I remove the links no problem. In the end I worked around by creating a second text element within the row and adding the following shortcode within that

[icon_list] [icon_list_item style="color: green;" type="check"]Limit yourself to time spent on social media [/icon_list_item] [/icon_list]

I suppose my question is if there is an issue using theme shortcode within Pro elements?

With the second line spacing issue it seems to be column 1 within the row is adding spacing at the bottom even though padding/margins all set to zero.

Hello @ocduk,

Were you able to get this issue sorted? I am not able to see the space under limit yourself… anymore:

As for the space under You can still… it is from the bottom margin set to the text element before the list:

Hope this explains it.

Thank you Jade. Yes for the top line, I did the workaround by placing the X Theme shortcode into it’s own text element. If I try and place the shortcode into the same element as the text it created the space. So I did workaround, I guess my question with that was if there is a known issue using X Theme shortcode in Pro elements?

Re the bottom line, thank you so much, I had looked at that and my eyes must have not seen the 2 in there, thank you, that’s now fixed.

Hi @ocduk,

No, there is no known issue regarding that. When you add the shortcode and text in the same text element. Are you on Rich Text editor or HTML editor? Since you’re adding a shortcode it should be in HTML editor. Rich Text editor is known to generate a p tag (WP native feature) and p tag has margin-bottom that can add space on your content.

But your workaround is a wise choice since you don’t need the shortcode and text to be inline, separating them is the right action.

Cheers!
