Link to Posts/Pages Build in Wordpress

Hi,

I’m pretty sure there’s a explanation on why it’s done this way but I’m curious on why Pro doesn’t allow the selection of existing wordpress pages or post when creating a link? I would figure it’ll be more easier and user-friendly as the user doesn’t need to search for the exact page URL and if the title or URL changes, the link will still be valid and not broken?

Hi Omar,

Thanks for reaching out.
You can add any URL to the URL attribute by copying it from anywhere. To add any page from the same website, you can copy the permalink and add it here.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi,

I think my question is more related to the UX friendliness, cuz right now it’s a must copy the permalink from any page, however most builders out there just gives you an additional drop down option of existing pages/posts found in Wordpress as it just make it easier to link to those pages, why does Pro not do the same.

The added bonus I see when those builders do this method as well are if the page URL get renamed, it automatically updates the URL on pages that links to it as well. With Pro method right now, we’ll be relying on a redirection plugin to ensure linked pages are not broken. Get what I’m trying to say?

Yeah, that would be a nice UX upgrade. Perhaps there could be two options: Custom URL (as it is now) and a list with pages on the site, with a search bar with with autocompleting results.

Hi Guys,

At the moment, we only have dynamic content to select. You can use the permalink to a specific post or page:

Your feedback has been noted by the way. We can add it as a feature request for future development.

Cheers.
