Wondering if it is possible to lay out my gallery with The Grid, and have links on my home page that will link to a specific portion of the gallery? I have filters set up. e.g. “Kitchens”. I would like to be able to put a link on the home page, e.g. “View our kitchen designs”, and have it go to the images in the Kitchen filter. Is this possible, and what does it take to do this? The site is not live, it is currently local hosted
Hi there,
It is possible to do that with Javascript but unfortunately, it is not possible to know where the Grid is loaded.
The way the Javascript works is to trigger the click and touched events when the page is loaded in the destination. But even if the page is loaded the Grid still may not be loaded as it is using the Ajax technology to get the information.
Besides that, you will need to send a parameter to the button/link on the homepage so that the Javascript code knows that this is the specific filter.
Such a functionality is considered a huge amount of customization and outside the scope of our support.
I have found a support request like yours in The Grid support system and even the developers of that plugin also suggested an alternative way and do not recommend to have that functionality:
Thank you for your understanding.
Thanks for the help, I will try a different route.
You’re always welcome!
