I am trying to customize some code based on a modified version of the Recent Post Type shortcode (that includes an excerpt) you gave in the forums. I would like to replace the link with the _x_link_url only if the post format is “Link”. I have a number of the bits and pieces to do this, but I’m having trouble executing this properly in my child theme’s functions.php because of my limited knowledge of PHP.
