Linear Gradient in Section

I have pooled through the forum several different approaches shown. However, I am curious, with the most current Cornerstone, what is the best method to add a linear gradient to a section?

We have a section with a background image set for a hero section. We have a headline in a column in this section. The desired goal is to create a linear gradient - vertical - to go from transparent to a specified color.

There’s no current option in our settings to set Linear Gradient in section. I highly suggest to use custom CSS code for the Linear Gradient and add it in the section element CSS. You can create your Linear Gradient here:
