Line length in columns

Hi, again, Themeco!

I’ve started experimenting with lines to divide some content. I’m loving the dotted line option.

Where i need these lines is in pages divided into columns. As you can see below, the dotted line on the left goes all the way across the column, whereas the one on the right doesn’t.

Is there a place i can specify that the line on the right extend all the way across the column? The closest i came was to change the line’s margins, through which i can have the line on the right start on the left side of the column. But even then it’s not actually longer; it’s just left-justified.

My gaps in the right column also don’t go all the way across the column. But that doesn’t matter for them since that doesn’t impact how anything looks.

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked it in my local environment and it works perfectly fine and covers the full column as expected. If that is not working, we need to investigate the settings of the Column and Line elements through your WordPress admin dashboard.
I would suggest you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– Specific page where you are having this problem

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Hi Shannon,

I have checked your website and found that you have updated the Cornerstone but not the X theme. That might be the reason behind your problem. I suggest you update the X and Cornerstone by following the below steps.

1. Delete the existing Cornerstone
2. Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
3. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be in the latest version.

If that does not help, please let us know for further investigation.

Thanks for looking into this, tristup.

I’ve updated X and deleted and reinstalled Cornerstone and am still seeing the same thing. I also shut down my browser (Chrome) and restarted it; no difference then, either.

Hi Shannon,

To adjust the image and other element sizes, a left margin of 5em has been added to the parent column. I would suggest you remove that and adjust the image and other elements individually to get the line full width.

Fixed!! I changed the overall column margin to zero and did the same with the left margin for each card. Now everything lines up perfectly.
