I’m using x theme with ethos stack and I’m wondering if I can have the homepage as the only page with the sidebar? or how can I add a submenu to the homepage that allows people to search by topic and tagcloud but only on the homepage. The homepage is also the blog page but the other pages are separate and I don’t want the sidebar to show up there (if that makes sense)
Hi there,
Please edit the other page’s Template setting and set it to Fullwidth.

Hope this helps.
I know about full width what I mean is if I can have a sidebar on only the homepage/blog and not the other pages.
Hello @weedmama,
Thanks for updating the thread.
Yes, you can selectively have sidebar on few pages which in your case is home and blog page. All that needs to be done is select the template Layout - Content Left, Sidebar Right or Layout - Sidebar Left, Content Right. To help you get started, I have recorded a screencast that you can take a look.

Thanks.
I think my problem is the homepage doesn’t show up in the list of pages, it only shows up under appearance ->Menu, in there I renamed it “blog”. So either I did something wrong or it’s a glitch somehow.
Edit- I just saw the customize option where I can create the homepage as a static page or a blog. If I change it to static will I be able to edit it in cornerstone and if I create a separate blog where will the blog posts show up as currently they go to the homepage only.
Hello There,
Because your homepage is the blog index or posts page, it is not showing up in list of pages. If you want to create a static homepage where you can edit it in Cornerstone, you will also need to create a page entitled “Blog” and assign this page as your Posts Page in Settings > Reading > Front Page Displays. To know more about the static homepage and the blog page, please check this out: https://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page#Creating_a_Static_Front_Page
Hope this helps.
