Limit the length of Dynamic Content

I am using {{dc:acf:post_field field=“episode_description”}} to display the ACF field. I would like to limit the numbers of characters displayed, exactly the same as an excerpt. In my mind, that would look like, {{dc:acf:post_field field=“episode_description” length=45}}. How can I do this without creating a seperate ACF with the limited characters?

Regretfully, there is no such option to set the length like excerpt.
