I will post a link in the private response but how can I get the lighbox to not take up the “full screen” but instead only part of it? (say 50%). I’m not talking about the padding where the video is smaller content in the huge lightbox, but the “white transparent background” to be smaller.

The dimensions of the lightbox are powered by Javascript so it’s not possible to override. Overriding with CSS is not easy also as the videos stack up.
The configurable lightbox available is the Content Modal element however, you won’t be able to inline the toggle/button with your text.
Regretfully, there’s currently no option. I’ll forward this as feature request so that it might be taken into account for future developments.
